Poet's Row is a group of seven residential apartment buildings in Denver's Capitol Hill (recently named one of the 10 most beautiful neighborhoods in the US), each named after an influential poet or author. Located on historic Sherman Street just a few blocks from the state Capitol, they were built starting in 1933, and are made up of primarily studio and one-bedroom apartments. Each building has its own unique style and character, from the Spanish-Colonial architecture of the Robert Frost to the Art Deco style of the Mark Twain, and all six buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The central location of Poet's Row puts the apartments within walking distance of grocery stores, bus lines, restaurants, and bars, and minutes away from the downtown Auraria Campus, 16th Street Mall, and the Art Institute of Colorado. They are also located just blocks from Denver's Golden Triangle Museum District, Baker, Uptown, and LoDo neighborhoods.
